1. What to do if a new PSSD does not show a drive letter

If no drive letter appears in This PC after connecting your new PSSD to the computer, follow these steps for troubleshooting:

• Right‑click the Windows Start menu.
• Select Disk Management.
• Check whether the new disk is displayed.
• For a brand‑new empty disk, initialize the disk following the on‑screen prompts.
• Create a New Simple Volume.
• Select the file system and complete formatting.

Note: Do not directly initialize, format or create new partitions if important data is stored on the PSSD.

3. File System Options

• FAT32
• exFAT
• NTFS
• APFS

4. Recommended Settings

• For Windows‑only use: NTFS or exFAT is recommended.
• For cross‑platform use on both Windows and macOS: exFAT is recommended.
• For storing single files larger than 4 GB: exFAT or NTFS is recommended.
• For TVs, car infotainment systems, projectors and other devices: check the device manual for supported file systems first.
• For older devices: try FAT32, and note its 4 GB single‑file size limit.
